• Friends of ENCA, is a US based non-profit educational and advocacy organization supporting organic farmers and environmental conservation programs throughout the Philippines. The rising threats of global climate-change, extractive economies, and unsustainable development continue to threaten environmental sustainability, food security, and cultural heritage in the Philippines. Our education and advocacy programs ensure that Filipino farmers have access the education, training, and financial assistance they need to be successful.Friends of ENCA, is committed to supporting food security in the Philippines. Through educating and empowering farmers to return to the historical practice of saving seeds they are no longer dependent on purchasing seeds after each planting and forced to use harmful chemicals to grow these seeds. Through our education and training programs Filipino Organic Farmers gain the hands on skills and knowledge they need to propagate, store, save, and sell their own regionally adapted organic seeds. This empowers farmers to be self-sufficient and ensures that organic seeds are more readily available throughout the Philippines. We are always looking for talented board members, volunteers and supporters of our projects on the ground in the Philippines and advocacy in the Western United States. We are headquartered in the new ground-breaking Posner Center for International Development in Denver, Colorado.
