The Center's mission is to advocate, educate and achieve optimal health and well being for medically underserved communities.Services include family and internal medicine, behavioral health, OBGYN, reproductive health, HIV/STI specialty, occupational therapy, and community based participatory research. APAIT utilizes an integrated primary care / behavioral health approach to its patient centered medical home (PCMH).APAIT Health Center was established in 2011 as a primary care center and has its origins from the Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team (APAIT), an AIDS service organization whose mission is to positively affect the quality of life for people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS and other health disparities through culturally competent and linguistically appropriate programs. APAIT was established in 1987 and is a division of Special Service for Groups, a nonprofit health and human services organization established in 1952.APAIT Health Center is an affiliate of Special Service for Groups.
