• RST Thermal, based in Westwood, MA is pleased to announce that on January 1, 2011, Kasten & Company, Manufacturers Reps, will be merged into RST Thermal.RST Inc. was started in 1989 by Richard Trethewey and has represented a series of high end, mostly hydronic (water based) heating products. Originally called Radiant Systems Technology, they pioneered radiant and better heating products. They have enjoyed a reputation for high levels of technical and sales support for the contractor and wholesaler sales staff and have grown consistently through the twenty years. Last January, RST Inc merged with David Walsh from Thermal Sales creating RST Thermal. David brings his incredible industry resume, sales skill and expertise to the company. Dave was the former VP of Sales at Weil McLain boilers and is well respected throughout the industry.This move expands the company while at the same time brings more balance to it. For all these years, we strictly played in the narrow world of hydronic heating. We were missing steady interaction with the larger segment of the HVAC world, the air side contractor, wholesaler and engineer. The other position of strength for RST Thermal is in renewable energy.
