- RAIN is a collaborative nonprofit medical and biotechnology incubator in downtown Tacoma, WA. RAINs mission is to catalyze the development of innovative med/biotech companies that generate sustainable, high-paying jobs in the greater Tacoma area. We serve as the axial collaborative, boundary-crossing environment necessary to spark innovation and help startups overcome the challenges in this domain by providing direct access to the people and resources they need to succeed. Through alignment of the biotech community, RAIN will establish readiness in Tacoma. Our goal is to benefit our city directly from these efforts through human resource development, the creation of skilled jobs, career opportunities, innovative companies, generating network effects by bringing together the region's diverse constellation of resources, and the long-term impacts of a thriving local biotech sector.
