- TII is one of the largest privately owned trucking groups in the United States, with a fleet of more than 750 trucks and 1000 trailers. On a consolidated basis, TII had gross revenues of $128 million in 2007 and $149 million in 2008. TII is also one of the most financially sound carrier groups in the U.S., with essentially no outside debt.Transport Investments, Inc. is a Delaware based Holding Corporation formed on September 6, 1988. Transport Investments was established to form or acquire trucking companies, and to serve as a holding corporation for various trucking and related entities owned or controlled by the Singer-McAdams group. On November 30, 1988 Transport Investments acquired Greentree Transportation Company of Carnegie, PA. TII subsequently acquired the stock of American Transport, Inc. of Pittsburgh, PA, in addition to the stock of Heritage Express, Inc. On January 1, 1990 TII also acquired all of the outstanding stock of its freight brokerage and logistics affiliate, TII Logistics, Inc. Subsequent acquisitions included: Northern Hills Transport (Sturgis, SD), Aetna Freight Lines, Inc. (Warren, OH), Julian Transport (Antlers, OK) and Cargo Carriers (Lexington, NC).
