More than 20 million others are at increased risk because of undetected or poorly controlled diabetes or high blood pressure.The National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW), along with other affiliates and divisions of the National Kidney Foundation, conducts programs in research, professional education, patient and community services, public education and organ donation.Mission: The mission of the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW) is to prevent kidney diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation. Vision: The vision of the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW) is to be the leading public health resource on kidney health in Wisconsin and to reduce the impact of chronic kidney disease (CKD) on those who are at-risk or affected by CKD. The work of the NKFW is funded totally by contributions from individuals and through special events.
