• I was introduced to Gecko when my creative director requested Geckos book. He was a GM guy and had worked on 3D CGI with them. The work Gecko Imaging had done was amazing. Later we found out that Geckos service were just as amazing. I think Tor Myhren, Chief Creative Officer Grey NYC said it best. Having worked in LA, NY, Chicago and Detroit, I can honestly say there is no retouching studio Id rather work with than Gecko Imaging. First and foremost, theyre professionals in every sense of the word. They move fast yet keep the creative standards high. They have a point of view, yet they collaborate. They add value to the project by adding creative solutions. And they can handle the ridiculous, never-ending requests that agency people throw at them. But what truly sets Gecko apart is the quality of their work. As someone smarter than me once said, you cannot teach taste. Thankfully, Geckos artists have great taste. Their aesthetic eye is modern and contemporary. They really understand that when it comes to retouching, its all in the details, which they sweat more than anyone. I always sleep well knowing they will work to get it exactly, perfectly right. Oh, and most importantly, theyre just really great people. Gecko Imaging began as the partnership of Dan Petroski and Doug Harris who started Gecko Imaging in Detroit, Michigan in 1992. They shared the philosophy that no matter the size of the client or the job, everyone gets their unparalleled level of quality and service. Today, Gecko Imaging has built a stable of artists and customer service representatives who offer an incredible depth of skills and talent as well as have an innate ability to see the big picture in brand identity. Throughout my time at Burnett, I had the pleasure of working on several projects with Gecko and we were more than pleased with the results of our collaboration.
