• Ranger Aerospace (and affiliates) is a private equity holding company and management group that teams with larger institutional investors to acquire, grow, and improve companies in aviation services, aerospace sub-specialties, airfield operations, logistics, and government outsourcing. Since its founding in early 1997 in Greenville SC, Ranger Aerospace has transacted over $490 Million of buy-and-sell events via classic leveraged buyouts and internal investments in its portfolio companies. In 2012 we sold our Government Services platform to a $1 Billion strategic buyer; that highly successful venture entailed 3 acquisitions, 1 internal start-up, and an overseas joint venture. It yielded 60% IRR in the worst Recession in 50 years. We have renewed interests in precision manufacturing, specialty niche MRO services, components overhaul, civilian airfield operations, air cargo services, and the many trades and technologies that support aerospace and aviation. We are seeking additional acquisitions as platform add-on's for our consolidation strategy. Other sectors of interest include aftermarket spares, avionics/instruments, engines, and engineering services. We completed the first acquisition in the new Ranger consolidation platform in late 2014, with an excellent and growing MRO company specialized on Commercial Airliners and many of their components. In early 2016 we acquired a global company which manufactures, sells, leases, and repairs ULD's for the Air Cargo industry (pallets, nets, straps, containers, and other cargo control products), with op's at over half of the world's Top 50 air cargo hubs. We seek to aggressively grow these Ranger businesses through organic techniques and add-on acquisitions, while scouting for other deals in different sub-segments.
