A social enterprise that connects the most underserved segments of Generation Jobless with opportunities that help them leverage their collective brilliance. Beginning with black collegians in the United States, a community that faces a 13% unemployment rate after graduation and the highest student loan burden of any racial group, BLOC will utilize technology to unite hidden talent with sustainable futures. Launching in February 2016, BLOCs ACE (Achieve, Connect, Engage) platform will help students prepare for the workforce with targeted content and courses, will allow students to connect directly with each other and employers, and will empower students work collectively to dismantle systemic barriers that impede the socio-economic stability of their communities. In other words, BLOC will empower millennials who possess powerful dreams but little social capital to learn, earn and return to help others do the same.
