- The River Beckons. The Waterfront, a 1,000,000 square foot redevelopment along the western banks of the Lehigh River in Allentown, Pennsylvania, will be bring together Class A office space, modern apartments, a brand new walkable retail promenade, and a variety of new and exciting dining options. In addition to the nine new buildings currently proposed for the twenty-six acre site, The Waterfront will introduce an entirely unique signature River Walk that will run for more than a half-mile along the banks of the Lehigh River and offer direct water access via two floating docks. Site paths will coincide with the River Walk on either end to offer a running and biking loop that promises incomparable views and access to the Lehigh River and the newly proposed amenities.With restaurant patios, panoramic views of the Lehigh River, two outdoor plazas and a plethora of other recreational options, The Waterfront will offer tenants, residents and visitors alike an entirely new experience in the heart of the Lehigh Valley. The Waterfront is being developed by Jaindl Properties, LLC and Dunn Twiggar Company, LLC.
