• Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care has served the ten counties our area since 1980 as a nonprofit agency. The most experienced and largest hospice in our area, we care for people of all ages at all stages of serious illness.Our home care teams are talented and caring nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, doctors, grief support, expressive therapists and other specialists who care for the whole family during times of serious illness. Kansas City Hospice House and NorthCare Hospice House are available when care is too complicated for a home setting. We provide palliative home health care long before the need for hospice with our expert staff of full-time doctors and nurse practitioners. Carousel cares for children, teens and babies, even before birth. Solace House is a center for grief and healing, with programs from age 3 through adult. Camp Carousel and Camp Erin are weekend retreats for children and families who have experienced the loss of a loved one.Passages provides mental health services for difficult life transitions.We educate the hospice and palliative care leaders of tomorrow with fellowships for physicians and educational opportunities for all healthcare professionals.
