- Pacific Vision Foundation (PVF) aims to provide patient-centered eye care to all, from indigent to affluent, without regard for ability to pay.PVF opened The Eye Institute headquarters at 711 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco in 2016. The Eye Institute is home to the CPMC Department of Ophthalmology Residency Program, Clinical Faculty offices, the Frank Stein and Paul S. May Center for Low Vision Rehabilitation, and the Lions Eye Clinic, which provides ophthalmological services to disadvantaged patients. For over 40 years PVF has supported the physicians and researchers providing care to the under-served and has provided critical financial support for the Department of Ophthalmology at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC). PVF has donated millions of dollars for the restoration of sight, the education of the next generation of doctors and clinical vision research.
