Partners For Arts Education
Get Full AccessDescription
- Partners for Arts Education advocates for the role of the arts in every aspect of a childs educational life. The partnerships we nurture recognize the artistic and educational integrity of teacher, artist and student. We believe this is possible and necessary for all learners, and we provide the support and evidence to make it happen.Partners for Arts Education was incorporated in 2000 at a time when research was emerging to prove that the arts have a critical role in the cognitive and social development of our children. A needs assessment proved that there was overwhelming need for a clearinghouse and liaison organization to manage the relationships between two professional communities that speak distinctly different languages. Over 200 individual educators, artists, community leaders, and parents participated in initial gatherings to form the framework for PAE.
