• Since 1962, Union Gospel Mission Sacramento has been a 501c(3) nonprofit Christian Organization, Federal Tax ID No. 94-6103618. The Mission serves 365 days a year, providing more than 9,000 monthly meals to men, women, and children. A life-changing Gospel message is given each evening and twice on Sundays as the main bread of life! Essential items are distributed, daily, such as clothing, shoes, hygiene products and other life necessities. Our 9-month, in-house, Men's Recovery Program accommodates 24 men, getting them off the streets, and giving new life to broken lives - in Christ! We believe that God offers transformation, the ability to truly change and no longer be held hostage by the chains of addiction. Our Womens Clothing Closet ministers to women and children on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our physical, mental and spiritual support helps people find a real, lasting answer to their problems - one can't be done without the other! And, we can't do it without the committed volunteers and church groups from the greater Sacramento area. All of the items, food, and services are provided without charge to anyone who comes through our doors and has a need. The Mission operates without tax or government support of any kind, funded entirely by the generous donations of individuals and organizations in the community. Please consider donating to the Mission, and keep in mind that we are always looking for clothing and assorted items for our Mens Shelter and Womens Clothing Closet.
