Paradise Publishers, in collaboration with authors Jennifer Smith and Cherry Tigris, have been on a journey to bring to digital print, I Trusted Him: The True Story of Anna Lynn Hurd.I Trusted Him is a story based on the facts surrounding the too-short life of Anna Lynn Hurd who died at the hands of a boyfriend who showed all the typical signs of a young man with rage issues and who was on the verge of a meltdown. While many witnessed his desperate clinginess and tantrums, few were willing to hold him accountable for his behavior. Until the unthinkable happened; he snapped and lost complete control. Unfortunately, this story is becoming all too familiar. Our hope is that we touch and save lives with this book, both young women and men and beyond. Many of the troubling signs that show up in these young relationships are the same signs that show up in adult relationships later on. We believe that everyone can learn something from Anna's story. Our greatest hope, is that this story be read, shared, and discussed among the young and the old alike. That it be made an immediate open conversation and no longer continually denied.
