• At Young Audiences New York we leverage our organizations 63 years of experience to create opportunities across the artsmusic, dance, theater, visual, and digital artfor young people from kindergarten through high school. We provide residencies, performances, and family programming in school, out of school and in the community.We believe that no matter what kind of work todays children will go on to do as tomorrows grown-ups, they will need to be confident experimenting and innovating, influencing others, expressing new ideas, thinking globally, and teaming up with a diversity of people to make things happen. Young Audiences New York helps children develop these important 21st century skills through programs led by our talented and diverse company of professional Artist Educators and key relationships with school and community partners, donors, and funders.Throughout our 63-year history, we have continued to respond to the needs of each generation of children in our city. Informed by current economic trends and youth development research, we are executing a new, community-focused strategy to use the arts to close opportunity gaps for young people living in poverty.
