- College Mentors for Kids' mission is to connect college students with the most to give to kids who need it most. Our vision is for all school kids to look forward soon and be able to give back later.We do this through our innovative mentoring program that pairs kids in 1st - 6th grade with a college student mentor. Our program is unique in 4 ways:*Activities take place on a college campus for high impact exposure to higher education*Kids are reached at an early age when behaviors are forming and can be changed*Learning activities are hands-on so kids are engaged*Duel impact on kids and college studentsCollege Mentors for Kids is serving over 2,500 kids through 2,900 college student volunteers at 35 college and university chapters in 10 states: Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia, New York and Arizona.
