RPM Studios offers a variety of recording, and mixing services to meet the unique needs of each of their clients.A Few Words From Our FounderI connected to sound, and its power to evoke feelings, at a young age. By my early teens, I found myself awash in music; as an aspiring musician, and subsequently as a writer, engineer and producer. My first recordings were produced using a Fostex cassette four track recorder. Quickly, I fell in love with the process of making music; proceeding from the initial inspiration through the final mix. After High School, I attended The Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts, where I studied acoustics and audio engineering. I was the valedictorian of my graduating class and earned an internship, studying under Bill Mueller, at Sheffield Audio/Video Productions. Soon after, I was recruited by Greg Hartman at Big Mo Recording Services, with whom I engineered and assisted on live recordings/broadcasts for: Rage Against the Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, Fuel, Incubus, Live, David Grey, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, OAR, and many others. While I found the live recording business to be fast-paced, exciting and challenging work, I also found that it took me away from my real passion; collaborating with artists to create new songs, new sounds, new music. Armed with a revolutionary concept for the functions of a recording studio; and its output possibilities combined with the new distribution channels available to artists, I left Big Mo Recording to pursue my vision, which has evolved into RPM Studios.Chris Dopkin
