• The Zerorez Story began in Texas in 2000. The founders managed 3,000 apartment units and were frustrated with their carpet cleaning challenges. As a result, they began looking for better cleaning solutions but found that the carpet-cleaning industry had cleaned the same way since the 1940's, so no reliable and really effective cleaning process existed! Their research and development led to Empowered Water(tm) ...now patented. It's simply The Right Way to Clean (tm). Our aim is to change the carpet-cleaning industry. Zerorez Franchising Systems, Inc. was formed in 2001 and the first operating Zerorez bases opened in 2002 in Dallas and San Diego. The first franchises were sold beginning in 2003. Today, there are operations across the US, with many more projected to open.Our process is effective:Typical soft surface steam-cleaning used on carpets and upholstery mixes hot water with soaps. By contrast, the ZEROREZ® cleaning system does not use soaps, detergents or shampoos to clean, but instead uses our revolutionary EMPOWERED WATER, which has cleaning and antimicrobial properties.EMPOWERED WATER is applied to both hard surfaces (like stone, stainless steel, etc.) and soft surfaces, (like the carpet fibers, upholstery, etc.) via a high-pressure spray, both releasing embedded soil and cleaning the surfaces. The soil is then removed, leaving just the extraction water on the surfaces, which dries quickly and without any soil-attracting residue.
