- The Steven G AYA Cancer Research Fund is a non-profit organization committed to raising awareness about AYA Cancer and the need for research to find better ways to treat and cure our young people!Since 2007 we have raised over $150,000+ for AYA Cancer Research. We have contributed to the AYA Cancer Initiative at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Curesearch, The Meredith Cowden Foundation, Leukemia Lymphoma Society, BMT info net, In It Together, and Carcinoid Foundation. Recently we established a Research Scholarship that was awarded to Dr. David Askew, an AYA Cancer Researcher with the Dr. Alex Huang Research Lab of University Hospitals and Case Medical Center. In addition, we have supported two survivors to participate in the National Cancer Institute GVHD Historical Research Study.Our future goals include increasing the number of AYA Cancer Research Scholarships in order to help generate interest in the field of AYA Cancer, increase monetary support of our AYA Cancer Educational and Social Support Initiatives and last but not least, to continue collaborative efforts with individuals and non-profit organizations who directly impact the lives of adolescents and young adults experiencing the effects of cancer.We will not rest until there is a cure: FIGHT! CONQUER! CURE!!!
