- Vector Engineers, Inc. consists of a group of experienced and knowledgeable professionals with a passion for solving problems. Our staff of engineers, geologists, surveyors and support staff work together to turn your engineering concerns into your successes. Our licensed professional engineers all have a minimum of a master's degree in engineering and extensive experience. The firm specialized in geotechnical engineering, geological studies, condition surveys, forensic investigations and geophysics to evaluate subsurface conditions. Vector Engineers owns and operations its own drill rig for soil and rock sampling. Most firms subcontract drilling. Having our own rig allows us to better control the data obtained and allow us to change our exploration plan quickly when needed. Our principals are:Dr. Wayne A. Karem, PE, PG :has been a part time professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Kentucky, an advisor to the civil engineering department at the Western Kentucky University.,Kentucky Association of Economic Developers,KSPE,ASCE. Mr. W. Robert Folsom, MSCE, PE ,ASCE, Active in the Kentucky Geotechnical Engineering Group, the Structural Engineers Association of Kentucky and the ,Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Jonathan Welker, MS, Geology, PG - Owensboro, Kentucky. He provides geophysical expertise on projects that require site specific analysis, evaluation of Karst and location of below grade utilities and structures.Dr. Michael E. Kalinski, PE, RGP: special consultant, professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Kentucky.,geophysical methods to evaluate subsurface conditions, earthquake engineering and vibration mitigation,geotextiles and landfill designDaniel Huffaker, SI, project manager and special inspector for soils, concrete, masonry and steel. Over 10 years of materials testing experience on large industrial and municipal projects. Daniel is assisted by several field technicians working on sites throughout the region
