• Palmetto was founded in 2009 with an aim to become the worlds largest clean energy and social-impact investment and operations company. Palmetto has financed, built and managed over $450m worth of assets throughout Europe and the United States. Today, Palmetto operates as a vertically integrated finance, development, construction and management company. Our corporate team has more than 70 years of experience in our asset class and is highly specialized in market strategies, structured finance, energy policy, law and accounting. The corporate team oversees and operates wholly-owned business divisions, which deliver solar solutions to our growing commercial and residential customer-base. Palmetto has flexible capital constraints and an ability to deliver both project and corporate finance in a wide range of capacities such as venture capital, private equity, short- and long-term debt. The two founders, Amit Oza and Chris Kemper, began with an ambition to lead the world towards a clean energy future. Their core strength resides in renewable energy development, policy, and financial structuring. The founders advised the worlds largest firms energy, utility, investment groups and sovereign wealth funds in the creation and establishment of clean energy & environmental portfolios. Since then, we have built a corporate track record in over twenty countries. Today, instead of advising others on how to build their portfolios, we now build, own and operate our own projects acting as principles. We believe this creates a stronger offering to our customers residential, commercial and utility customers seeking solar solutions to their energy issues. Palmettos management team has more than 100 years of collective experience in the clean energy sector. The management team brings together a unique skill set and experiences ranging from well known organizations such as World Bank, General Electric, Moodys, Ned Bank and Tradition Financial Services.
