- The Tri-Faith Initiative is a partnership of Temple Israel, the Episcopal Diocese of Nebraska and the American Institute of Islamic Studies and Culture. Our long-term goal is to build a campus in Omaha with a synagogue, a church, a mosque and an interfaith center.We currently have a toddler program called Interplay, youth groups, an adult education program and are planning a summer camp for 2010. Last year we held a Dinner in Abraham's Tent featuring a panel with Rabbi Peter Knobel of the Central Conference of American Rabbis, Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori of The Episcopal Church and Dr. Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America in a Conversation on Peace moderated by Mark Pelavin of the Religious Action Center.
