• Our mission is to create a trained Haitian construction workforce capable of rebuilding a safer Haiti. Additionally, we seek to identify and cultivate leaders within that workforce who are capable of training other unskilled Haitians. Sustainable change takes a long-term investment and a commitment to excellence. In order to provide field training for our workers, Extollo International partners with established organizations to build needed community structures. Our buildings are eco-friendly, earthquake and hurricane resistant and comply with current International Building Codes. Our partner organization, Haiti Partners, fundraises for the building materials and labor to complete the project. Extollo trains local, unskilled Haitian men and women to do the work, in addition to providing the necessary tools and equipment. Our workers are compensated with a fair wage, and provided two meals daily so they can take care of their families and stay strong and healthy while they learn. The key to reducing poverty in Haiti is empowering its people to acquire highly valued skills in a healthy, inclusive environment that promotes self-reliance. Extollo seeks to provide long-term solutions to poverty through jobs and job skills creation. We provide high-quality, theoretical and practical construction training that is relevant to Haitis building needs. Extollo is dedicated to improving on-the-job safety by imparting the same discipline-specific safety standards that are required in the United States (U.S.). In addition, Extollo provides its students with the tools needed to establish an income generating business, rebuild their homes or engage in community building projects. Extollo also certifies its workers following training, providing them with a critical gateway to future employment. It is our goal to create a workforce of Haitian men and women who are capable, educated, skilled and working towards freedom from the endless cycle of foreign aid dependency.
