- TYK America Inc. is a subsidiary of TYK Corporation (Japan), a global manufacturer of refractory products. TYK America's US headquarters and manufacturing plant is located in Clairton, Pennsylvania just south of Pittsburgh. TYK manufactures refractory products for the Steel, Non-Ferrous and Specialty Metals industries as well as advanced ceramics for many specialty applications. Our product line includes: - Magnesia Graphite and Alumina Magnesia Graphite Brick linings for Steel Ladles. - Our TN-60, 80 and 100 Steel Ladle Slide gates with refractory plates and nozzles. - Ladle and Tundish plates and nozzles for most gate systems. - Porous and Slit plugs for ladle gas purging applications. - RH Degasser Snorkels and vessel linings. - Blast Furnace artificial graphite - SiC Micro-Pore Carbon Blocks - BOF Multi-hole plugs and Tap holes - Alumina-Graphite Isostatically pressed Ladle Shrouds, Submerged Entry Nozzles and Stopper rods. - Precast shapes such as iron and steel Injection Lances, ladle bottoms and well blocks. - Advanced ceramic materials such as Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF), zirconia setters. - Saggers for Roller Hearth Kilns producing Lithium powders for batteries.
