Those underpayments by the carrier are identified and evaluated to determine if the reasons for denial or underpayments were unreasonable or unlawful. If we determine that the underpayments are, in-fact, unlawful underpayments then our company proceeds with litigation against the carrier with our company as the plaintiff. ECURE never goes after the patients, only after the carriers. How much does it cost: NOTHING! There is no financial cost to the provider. ECURE purchases the dead accounts at 50% of their underpaid usual and customary value determined by the courts, ECURE and the carrier during the course of litigation. ECURE effectively monetizes your dead A/R data, generating found money for your business and increasing the bottom line at no cost to your business.
