- National Safe Place Network (NSPN) is a United States based non-profit entity operating with a mission of ensuring an effective system of response for youth in crisis through public and private partnerships at a local, state, and national level. National Safe Place Network envisions a world where all youth are safe. As a means to achieve its stated vision, NSPN operates multiple programs and provides a myriad of services and products designed to address the needs of not only youth in crisis, but organizations dedicated to serving these youth. NSPN was established in 2013 when two influential thought leaders in the youth and family services field merged. When National Safe Place (NSP) and Youth and Family Services Network (YFSN) merged, so did their holistic approach to problem solving and responsiveness to member needs. As a result of this union, NSPNs members, Safe Place communities and licensed agencies; and the Family and Youth Services Bureaus (FYSB) runaway and homeless youth (RHY) grantees receive 70 years of combined experience, strategic alliances, partnerships, and thoughtful access to a powerful network of multi-level services directly effecting youth, agencies, and the youth services field. NSPN is governed by a board of directors and operates nationally recognized programs including Safe Place, HTR3, and FYSBs Runaway and Homeless Youth Training and Technical Assistance Center (RHYTTAC). These programs offer prevention, intervention, and association services to human service organizations seeking to provide the highest quality of safe and effective interventions with youth and families in crisis.
