• The OspreyData platform is designed from the ground up with sensor analytics in mind, focusing on storing and manipulating time series data and modeling complex relationships between high-resolution signals. Industrial sensors stream and generate genuinely big dataâup to 2PB a year for an offshore oil platform. Typically, only 10% of this data is utilized to make decisions; even this 10% is largely used for reactive, rather than predictive, monitoring. In addition to the sheer size of this data, traditional analytical approaches have not been effective because sensors generate time-series data with complex features (for example frequency and phase relationships or overlapping signals).
