Description

We are providing 800+ meals a month to our community. TWENTY-ONE kiddos are coming for breakfast, preschool, and lunch five days a week. We have approximately 40 volunteers at the school each week. It truthfully takes a village to fight malnutrition. At Guatemalan Humanitarian Tours, we help children reach their full potential by solving the stunting problem with early nutrition and education. Our service vacations help companies, families, and individuals give back while having a blast and remembering what really matters. Each year I lead 11-day service vacations exploring the country and giving back. Our goal is to expose the reality of life in Guatemala while paying it forward by serving those in need. We spend our days volunteering with a thought-provoking humanitarian project and spend time exploring different sites. We prepare breakfast and lunch, deliver backpacks, and school supplies to our small preschool, deliver hundreds of pounds of books, backpacks, school supplies, and much-needed donations to local organizations. Create once in a lifetime memories - We install wood-burning stoves in homes and get to know local families, hike or ride horseback up a volcano and roast marshmallows on hot pockets in the lava, ride a boat across Lake Atitlan, take a sunrise tour of the Mangroves, play with the children at a local orphanage, explore Mayan ruins, visit the black sand beach, deliver powdered milk, formula, and needed supplies to our free breakfast program, shop local markets, laugh a lot and have a blast. We stay in local Airbnb's/hotels and enjoy delicious food. Our days are full of learning and activity. Guatemala is full of countless wonders to see and life lessons to learn.
