    Description

    • A biotechnology company with technologies deployed throughout the drug discovery continuum. Offers homogeneous assays across multiple enzyme classes, including protein kinases, lipid kinases, phosphatases, phosphodiesterases, and proteases. The platform is highly amenable to HTS and for follow up hits-to-lead, structure activity relationship and selectivity assays. A proprietary Sensor (Mw < 500) binds to phosphoryl groups that are adjacent to a fluorescently tagged substrate. Upon binding the fluorescence of the tagged substrate is quenched; there is no requirement for spectral overlap as the Sensor quenches via electron capture. The unique detection technology may be exploited for use in Companion Diagnostic applications offering clear advantages over existing tests that determine the presence/abundance of the target protein in a biopsy. The ability to measure enzyme activity, importantly, plus or minus the drug enables direct determination of the effective response to drug on a patient by patient basis. Gyrasol is interested in collaborative partnership for enzyme assay and diagnostic applications.
