• Helping people reach their full potential by connecting resources with needs in partnership with businesses, churches, and nonprofits.Daily Bread Ministries (DBM) is a faith-based 501(c)3 organization established in 1996. DBM collects and redistributes food and other products which would otherwise be discarded by local food sellers and catering companies. The ministry provides these goods to churches and compassion organizations in San Antonio and the surrounding counties. The food gleaned by DBM is redistributed to 100+ organizations weekly and used to further their mission in the capacity they assist, aid, rehabilitate and support the needy in our community. Daily Bread Ministries has never charged a fee to those who receive food, allowing our partner ministries to reach the poorest of the poor in our community. In 2014, over 6 million pounds of food were redistributed with an estimated retail value of over $7.8 million dollars.In 2012, DBM purchased a 163,000 square foot facility that opens the doors for us to expand our services. DBM is preparing to magnify our vision to serve even more people with a greater number of services. We intend to do this by opening a faith-based, one-stop community resource center located on the Eastside of San Antonio.
