- Jack Roush and Robert Yates partnered with Ford Motor Company in 2004 to join forces as the exclusive Ford engine builder for NASCAR. These two legendary engine builders, led by President & CEO Doug Yates turned this partnership into an immediate success with winning the 2004 Sprint Cup Championship. Since 2004, Roush Yates Engines has achieved over 254 combined wins in the NASCAR and IMSA series. In 2016, we will supply engines and provide team support to 15 NASCAR, four IMSA (International Motor Sports Association) and two FIA (Federation Internationale De LAutomobile) teams.Roush Yates Engines in partnership with Ford Performance: design, develop and build three distinct engines for these various series. Ford FR9 V8 engine to NASCAR for the Sprint Cup, Xfinity and Camping World Truck Series Ford 5.2L V8 to the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge for the GT350R-C Grand Sport (GS) class Ford twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine to the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship (North America) for GT Le Mans (GTLM) classes Ford Twin-Turbo EcoBoost V6 engine to the FIA World Endurance Championship (global) series for the Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance (LMGTE) classIn the 2016 season, Roush Yates Engines will provide the power under the hood for 114 races, over these 5 premium race series, which stretch across 9 different countries.Roush Yates Engines has achieved success and growth by following Dougs vision to be a world class innovator for performance engines and staying true to the companys mission to provide winning engines through the demonstrated power and performance.
