• Travel That Matters is a company for women, run by women, that creates group travel experiences designed to benefit both the traveler and the destination. Our trips are for women of all ages who want to increase their awareness of their impact on the world, share their experience with a supportive group of female travelers, spend time out in nature, interact with locals in a meaningful way, and support the economies of the places they visit by investing their travel dollars in small businesses run by locals, helping to keep traditional cultures and economies intact. Travel That Matters was co-founded by Anne Berry and Angela Jacobus, an inspiring mother-daughter team, who are experts in going beyond the typical tourist experience. Their mission is to help other women do the same. After traveling much of the globe on their own, both separately and together, they have joined forces to create a company focused on creating meaningful, life-changing travel experiences that foster global connection and understanding ... thus Travel That Matters. Angela and Anne know in their bones that life-changing transformation occurs when women travel together with purpose. They make deeper connections with themselves, the women they are traveling with, and the people in the local culture. And they are passionate about this because they see how this creates profound global connection, understanding and healing.
