For the past 50 years, Zumbro Valley Health Center has worked to improve the mental and chemical health of people in Southeast Minnesota regardless of their ability to pay. As a community mental health center, the organization enhances the quality of life for 4,000 people annually through its integrated clinical, community support and homeless programs. The programs and services we provide all have the same goal helping people with substance abuse issues and mental illnesses lead more healthy, productive and self-sufficient lives.Improving clients lives has been a core value for Zumbro Valley Health Center and its staff since our inception. In the past three years, the organization has integrated dental, pharmacy and primary care services into its continuum of care to enhance health outcomes for clients, especially those men, women and children who are under-served and diagnosed with a serious mental illness. We believe that integrated health care delivery improves care and reduces costs by ensuring that people with chronic conditions have ready access to both primary and behavioral health care with close coordination between them.
