• Runway of Dreams is the first 501c3 non-profit organization to develop an Adaptive version of existing apparel. Runway of Dreams aims to be the authority on incorporating modifications to fashionable and affordable clothing for children and teens with physical disabilities, changing the landscape of fashion as being inclusive for everyone. A child or teen with physical disabilities actually doesnt regard himself or herself as any different than other children. Runway of Dreams empowers children to embrace and celebrate their differences, rather than it be a source of shame, through an adaptive clothing line. Runway of Dreams will collaborate with key partners in the fashion industry to develop, modify and adapt existing lines creative mainstream adaptive versions of clothing. Runway of Dreams is grateful that the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Christopher Reeve Foundation and The Helping Hands Foundation supports its endeavors. Why We Need You Wearing fashionable, adaptive clothing can help being different feel normal. Runway of Dreams is dependent on designer and retail partnerships, sponsors, donations and volunteers to make this goal a reality. Why We Care Mindy Scheier, fashion designer by trade and founder of Runway of Dreams, is fortunate enough to have three beautiful children, one of which was born with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy. By raising Oliver with her wonderful husband Greg, Mindy has learned that while others might view her sons physical challenges as only a limitation, she instead appreciates his incredible ability to embrace his life, focusing on what he has rather than what is missing.
