When antique tiles are not available in large enough quantities for residential, hospitality and commercial projects, architects and designers turn to us to create accurate reproductions. The hand of the artisan is evident in every tile, and each can be fully customized for the individual project. We sell direct to showrooms and are specified by the the most highly acclaimed architects and interior designers across North America and Canada.We travel throughout Spain vetting the most highly skilled artisans, usually small family businesses respected for their accurate restorations of palaces, churches, hotels and government buildings. These artisans pride themselves on their proprietary glazes and their old world techniques which have been handed down from generation to generation. Tile is the ultimate renewable resource. Clay is of the earth and varies region to region. The glazes are based in natural mineral and plant compounds mixed in the studio by the artisan, not bought off the shelf. Each of the clay tiles are hand pressed into hand made molds and usually high fired in small kilns. There is no assembly line processing or mass production techniques employed. There is no product more green or durable than tile when it comes to standing the test of time.
