- Established in March of 2015, Rosie is a non-profit company, staffed solely by college students, that seeks to relieve the financial burden of personal hygiene supplies. Nearly a fifth of all Oregon residents live below the poverty line and food stamps dont cover the cost of necessary hygiene products. This lack of support has a huge impact on people who need supplies during menstruation or to moderate incontinence. Without the aid of these products, many people have resorted to using unhealthy or unsafe methods of care and are forced to stay home from school and work. Having access to basic care products should not have to be a luxury and so we are trying to bridge the gap and provide people with the supplies they need. Although for the time being, we only offer free personal hygiene supplies, we hope to extend our services in the future.
