They are used in gasoline and diesel after treatment systems for on road, off road and marine applications. Various mesh ring sizes are available to fit standard cordierite and silicon carbide substrates.Catalyst Substrates, Filters & Mixers- Wire mesh substrates offer turbulent flow for improved mass transfer and gas mixing. When used before an SCR catalyst, the wire mesh can improve urea conversion to ammonia while helping to mitigate solids resulting in higher SCR catalyst efficiency. The parts can be made in almost any geometry allowing optimal packaging and performance. Filters for gas or liquids can be optimized for most any application as well. Gasket & Seals- ACS supplies Tier 1 and OEM customers around the world with seals for exhaust applications. The seals are available for use with many types of clamped or bolted systems to provide low leak joints for gasoline and diesel exhaust systems. NVH Applications- Knitted wire mesh is widely used to improve durability and NVH of heat shields, bellows and piping systems within the engine compartment.
