Description

VSAE is the Virginia Society of Association Executives. We are the only association in Virginia that exclusively serves the Commonwealths association management industry. VSAE focuses its resources on the professional development needs of our members by providing information, education, ideas and networking opportunities to assist association executives in their careers. Established in 1949, VSAE is your association community. VSAE currently has over 400 members, which includes executives from various trade, technical and professional associations throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, as well as representatives from companies who support them with products and services. VSAE promotes the interaction, networking, education and recognition among association executives in Virginia to ensure their effectiveness and professionalism. To accomplish this, VSAE provides educational and networking opportunities on a regular basis through monthly luncheons and seminars (except in May, July, August and November), the Annual Conference (held in May), the Educational Symposium & Expo (held in October), periodic meetings of Shared Interest Groups (SIGs), and many community service opportunities. VSAE's educational events and SIGs provide continuing education credits towards the Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) credentials. VSAE also provides a CAE study group for members. VSAE communicates to its members through the monthly newsletter Association Press newsletter as well as through this website. An annual Membership Directory is provided to our members annually in August. VSAE serves the community through volunteerism. In recent years VSAE has worked on events with CARITAS, FeedMore and Habitat for Humanity - Hanover. VSAE also conducts raffles at monthly meetings to raise funds to donate to local charities.
