- Located at the Oasis Ranch in Skull Valley, AZ, T.H.E. Ranch provides both natural horsemanship and riding instruction as well as equine-assisted activities to suit both educational and psychotherapy program requirements. The staff includes seasoned equine professionals and a therapy herd of up to eight horses. The ranch is currently seeking to build relationships with mental health professionals who are looking for an facility where they can conduct both individual and group sessions and workshops. Current and recent examples of programs include private family and individual psychotherapy therapy through Empowering Children and Families Through Counseling Associates (Prescott, AZ), life skills horsemanship for foster children through Arizona's Children Association, and group counseling through the Yavapai County Juvenile Probation Department. A list of referrals is available upon request. Currently, the ranch is developing a modestly priced horse herd experience to established recovery and support groups. It includes two hours of equine-assisted learning with the therapy herd.
