• Young Mariners Career Foundation is a non-profit that has partnered with the best maritime academy on the east coast, Mid Atlantic Maritime Academy in Norfolk Virginia. Together with M.A.M.A. we are providing on Eight Week Boot Camp to allow todays young adults to build a solid foundation for a career in the Maritime Industry. Mid Atlantic Maritime Academy and the Young Mariners Career Foundation occupy the same building allowing us to stay in close constant contact with one another to ensure the common goal of providing the best maritime training is priority number One!! This is the FIRST of it's kind maritime boot camp in Virginia. The fast-track eight week program provides all the basic training needed start a career in the maritime industry. The program offer 4 weeks of training and includes a four week paid internship with a Maritime Company. The Maritime Industry is going to need to have a change of the watch...so to speak. There are a lot of older mariners that need a relief. The young mariners of today, well they are the reliefs. And those mariners need some one to fill their shoes as well...this is where we...and you become a team. Providing the education and financial assistance these young men and women need.
