• Labouré is a small, urban, private, Catholic college. Our distinct focus is education for practice in the health sector. Founded in 1892 andre-established with degree-granting authority in 1971, the college has a history of educating health professionals for practice dating back to the Carney Hospital Training School for Nurses and the Catherine Labouré School of Nursing. We grant the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (for RNs) and the associate in science degree in nursing (RN) and in allied health. Labouré is a non-residential college. All students commute to the college and to clinical rotations. We are located minutes from public transportation in the Lower Mills section of Boston. The college is affiliated with the Caritas Christi Health System and our students have clinical experience within the system hospitals as well as within several academic medical centers and teaching hospitals throughout Greater Boston and beyond. Adults and traditional-aged students will find the flexible scheduling, small classes, and personal attention an ideal learning environment. Our campus includes a learning resources center, student lounges, meeting spaces, as well as shared facilities with the hospital. Our alumni can be found in a wide variety of health care settings, including Boston's finest academic medical centers, teaching hospitals, and numerous health care facilities throughout New England, the nation, and the world.
