It soon became apparent to owners Linda and Don Whittemore that the real opportunities were in supplying super premium ice cream to Los Angeles area restaurants, hotels and country clubs. The Whittemores opened their manufacturing plant in Van Nuys and began creating over 100 varieties of ice creamfrom classic vanilla bean to the more exotic like pink ginger and jalapeño grapefruit-- using only natural flavors, natural colors, the finest fresh fruits, nuts and high quality mix-ins, all made without preservatives.
